Rachel is from West Lafayette, and she boasts vast accomplishments in high school and university. She has written for 8 years, receiving a silver medal in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, placing her in the top 0.9% of high school writers in the nation. She has also received gold, silver, and bronze medals in the National Spanish Exam while participating in the prestigious fully-funded Youth Ambassadors program. While receiving these accolades and serving as the president of multiple high school clubs, Rachel co-founded an interview blog that featured Kat Echazarreta, the first Mexican-born woman to go to space. At age 17, Rachel founded a financial literacy organization that has educated hundreds globally, and she has multiple publications about her experience in youth advocacy.
In addition to her accolades in high school, Rachel has extensive awards from university. She won the $25,000 Taco Bell Live Mas Scholarship, and the $20,000 PIMCO Future Leaders Scholarship, and she led her team to second place in the National Black MBA Association Undergraduate Case Competition, winning $10,000. In 2023 alone, Rachel has won over $60K in scholarships, and she founded a consulting business to support students in professional development and writing. She is currently on a global education youth advisory board, and she is a contributing author for a publication about the business implications of autonomous vehicles. With Rachel’s accolades in business, writing, and additional fields, she is a competitive mentor for any student.
At her university, Rachel serves in various business-related roles. She is an ambassador for her university’s entrepreneurship program, and she serves as a mentor for underrepresented students in her business school. Outside of university, Rachel shines in her business and social impact activities. She has participated in a variety of development programs and fellowships with top companies, such as Bridgewater Associates, McKinsey, and PepsiCo. Rachel has completed internships and externships in nonprofit consulting, product management, AI-VC Source Dealing, finance, operations, and media management. She continues to run her consulting company, and she engages in competitive business opportunities.
In addition to business, Rachel is passionate about social impact. She has done anti-trafficking work since age 12, advocating for anti-exploitation policies to 400+ policymakers across Indiana. She serves on Indiana’s anti-trafficking subcommittee, and she volunteers for an organization that teaches technical skills to trafficking survivors. She is a UNHCR Young Champion, and she volunteers at her local church and former high school. She primarily focuses on her financial literacy organization, as she works on obtaining nonprofit status and is currently providing financial education to low-income families in her community. She is a Vital Voices Visionaries Fellow and a 2023 YOUNGA USA Youth Delegate. Currently, Rachel is helping her family develop an organization to support disadvantaged Ghanaians.
